Alyse is still really sick. She has still be running a temp of about 105 degrees. After staying up most of the night, and talking to the nurse about 4 times, I knew that action must be taken as soon possible.

The day started out with a Doctor's visit where they checked her all out. She had blood samples taken, a catheter put in for a urine sample, and then we ended up going to the hospital for some more test and x-rays to rule out pneumonia. She was also given a shot of penicillin and was given some fluids to help her from getting dehydrated. They sent us home about 1pm for her to rest.

The doctor has called twice to check on her. He said that as long as she does not get worse, then she can stay home. If her fever begins to rise again, or she seems to be dehydrated, she is suppose to go in for more test, fluids, and other procedures.

She seems like she is doing a little better. Last time I checked her temp was only 103.8! (I know that is still high, but it is better than it has been.) She is also staying awake a little more. I am just praying that she sleeps well tonight and that her temperature continues to go down. I really don't want to go back to the hospital!

Isn't this pathetic!

Poor thing! That would scare the snot out of me if one of my kids had a 105 degree fever, you sound like you're taking it all in stride. I sure hope she's feeling better REAL soon!!!!!!!

I hope she is feeling better. Have they figured out what is causing her to be so sick?

    Stephanie,
I'm sorry that Alyse has been sick. Amber got the stomach "bug" on Saturday so we weren't in church either! I hope she's feeling better soon.
    Love ya,
