Today was the perfect stay-at-home mom day.

I woke up when my child woke up (8:30 am - THANK YOU JESUS!), and then we started our morning routine. I changed Alyse's diaper. Made her cereal. Gave her a bottle, and settled down to watch a little TV. We sat on the floor and played for awhile, and then it was time for her morning nap (10ish). As she napped, I did some e-mailing and then got ready for the day. After she woke up, a my friend Ashley called, and we made plans to meet for lunch. After lunch, we headed to do some shopping at Target.

Here is Alyse with her new seat cover. (I am so over the carrier!) She loved shopping today! On the way home from Target, I stopped at the new Starbucks right by our house. (It has a drive thru. I love it!)

Driving down the road, as my baby girl slept in the back seat, I drank my chai latte with raspberry and thought about how happy I was to be able to stay home with my baby. I love being able to be the first one to hold her. I love to see her smiling face in the morning. I love feeding her, playing with her, and just watching her. I am so thankful that I have this opportunity to bond with her and enjoy each and every moment!

The rest of the day was spent at home doing laundry, talking to a few friends on the phone, playing with the dog, sitting on the back porch, reading books, and then doing the whole nighttime routine. Alyse was asleep by 8pm, and now I sit here still thinking about how lucky I am.

So, I want to thank the Lord for blessing me with the best job ever, and I want to thank Josh for being such a wonderful husband and working like crazy so I can stay home.
