Since it has gotten colder out, I thought that I would post some great warm drink recipes for you to try. Hope you find one you like!

Pumpkin Spice Latte (I also may have to check out the blog it came from to see if there are any other yummy recipes that need to be taste tested. A meal from a crockpot is always nice and easy for me.)

Homemade Vanilla Chia Tea (There is also some great blogs from this page!)

***White Hot Chocolate***

2 cups half and half (fat free is fine)
2 cups milk (skim or 2%)
3/4 cup white chocolate chips
1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Garnish (optional)frozen whipped topping, can also add crushed peppermint candies

Bring half and half and milk to a boil over medium-high heat; add white chocolate and sugar, stirring until morsels melt. Stir in vanilla. Garnish, if desired.

***Homemade old-fashioned hot chocolate***
2 ounces (2 squares) unsweetened chocolate
1/3 cup sugar
4 cups milk
pinch salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Place chocolate, sugar, milk, and salt in a 2-quart saucepan over medium-low heat. Heat, stirring, until chocolate melts and mixture is well blended. Add vanilla; pour hot chocolate into cups.

* I like to take some Raspberry flavoring and put about 1 to 2 tbl spoons of that in, or I will put some mint flavoring in. Yummy! Oh, and of course you have to put some whipped cream on the top!

***Spiced Apple Cider***

1 gallon Cider
4 small cinnamon sticks
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg

Put all in the slow cooker or crockpot and and turn on high until hot and then turn on low or just put on low. (Makes the house smell great!)

***Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate***

(Will have to make for my husband!)

8 oz milk
3 tsp chocolate syrup
1 tbs peanut butter, smooth
Whipped cream
Heat milk in a saucepan until hot through. Add chocolate syrup and mix well. Stir in peanut butter and stir until melted. Serve and top with whipped cream.

***Black Forest Coffee***

6 oz hot coffee
2 tbs chocolate syrup
1 tbs maraschino cherry juice
Whipped cream
Chocolate shavings
Maraschino cherries
In a mug, mix coffee, syrup and cherry juice. Stir well then top with whipped cream, chocolate shavings and cherries.

***Capputeano***
(Cappuccino for tea drinkers!)

2 cups milk
2 tea bags, black
3 tbs brown sugar
Heat milk and sugar together in a saucepan, almost to boiling. Remove from heat and add tea bags. Steep for 5 minutes. Remove tea bags and serve.

***Chocolate Mint Tea***

6 mint tea bags
6 cups milk
6 tbs hot chocolate mix
In a saucepan, heat milk with tea bags until almost boiling. Steep for a couple of minutes and strain out tea bags. Pour our 6 mugs of milk, then stir in a tablespoon of chocolate powder in each mug.

P.S. I just prayed for Josh, even though I don't really know what to pray for, I pray God's will is done.
