Everyone in our little house seems to be doing better today. I woke up still not feeling the best, but forced myself to get out of bed, shower, put on make-up, do my hair, get dressed and get out of this house!
We met Josh for lunch (not Qdoba, which is our usual Friday lunch place. Didn't think I could do that today.) Then Alyse and I went on a little search for a winter coat for her. I thought that since it is only like 40some degrees a coat might be a good idea.
I knew that I had seen a coat at Target that I really liked. Well, I did. Only thing is, I guess a lot of other mom's who plan ahead had already come and bought up all the coats that I liked. We did find this cute little hat for her to wear!
Then we went to Children's Place. The coats there were 40% off. Great deal! Except, well, as far as I know I am not going to be taking my child skiing and she does not need the whole snow jacket and pant ensemble. This is North Carolina, people! I know that you think it is freezing, and snow flurries = a blizzard, but well... I don't think she needs all that. She isn't that big. I think there would be more coat than Alyse. There is no way that she would be able to walk, let alone me get her in a car seat in that thing.
Finally, we hit The Gap. (I LOVE THE GAP!!!!) Again, I didn't really find a great coat, but I did find this nice warm sweater coat that she can wear on Sundays.
It is pretty warm. Plus it had the matching hat and mittens. It was also a little more expensive than I was hoping for, but I was starting to get desperate! Plus, I was worn out and ready to go home.
Tomorrow we are going to try to hit up some more Targets for the original coat of choice. Hopefully I will be able to find one!

December 1, 2008 at 6:59 PMStephanie, you left the price tag in Alyse's jacket, and it hurt my eyes! Hey, look at it this way, she is so dainty, she will probably get 2 seasons out of it. Then that price tag won't hurt so much! She's rockin' it anyway!
