We had great plans for our 4th of July, but not all of them happened.

One thing that did happen was we went to our little small town parade. We had never gone before and thought it may be a great tradition to start. Josh's mom joined us. Once we got there we found a spot right in front of our local ice cream place so Josh, of course, went to go get us something to eat as we watched the parade. We didn't actually end up staying for the whole thing, but here are some pictures:

In the afternoon, after Alyse spent some time with her Grandma and took a nap, I tried to do a little photo session with her, but she was much more interested in the flowers than smiling.

Josh and I had planned that Alyse and I would drive up and meet him Uptown to watch the fireworks together. However, that didn't happen. After driving all the way up there, I ended up sitting in the police station parking lot waiting on Josh who had to make an arrest. No fireworks for us! Finally, I decided that I really wasn't feeling well (see the previous post) and I went home.

So that was our 4th of July. I hope that yours was good.

Oh Steph... I wish I would have known you guys were down here. We were, too - and Sean took the boys by himself to fireworks because I had to work, too. The boys watched from on top of the new courthouse! Don't ask me how he got up there. I don't want to know!
