Saturday was Josh and my 10 year anniversary! On Saturday, May 10, 1998 we went on our first date (prom) and ended the night with our first kiss and were officially a couple.

I thought that Saturday was going to be a pretty boring day, but Josh surprised me. After we both slept in, he rolled over and said we were going to go out for a late breakfast. I figured that we would have to hurry because he would soon have to leave to go to work. After I was all dressed I asked him if we had enough time. He then informed me that we had all day because he had taken the day off and hadn't told me because he wanted to surprise me. I was so happy!
We went to the Flying Biscuit Cafe for breakfast and then Josh gave me a beautiful necklace. We decided to go and see a movie and went to see "What Happens In Vegas". (Good movie!) After the movie Josh asked what I wanted to do. I told him that if I could pick anywhere I wanted to go, I would go to the beach. At first he laughed then he kissed me and said, "Ok, lets go!" I thought he was joking, but we went home, took care of a few quick things and then got in the car. We ended up going to Ocean Isle Beach, NC. We got there just in time to walk on the beach as the sun was setting. We walked on the beach for awhile and then had dinner, and drove home.
It was so much fun! Yes, driving in the car for 3 hours just for dinner and a walk may seem a little crazy, and after we drove the 3 hours back home it was 2 am, but we had such a good time. It was great to be spontaneous and care free.
It was one of the best days that I have ever had. It reminded me how lucky I am, and what a great husband that I have!
