The Original Because of Love

One of my favorite things is to sit and talk to Alyse. She is starting to say more and more words.

Here are some of her most frequent words:

• "Da-Da" and "Dadddyyy" - She is a Daddy's girl!


• "Momma, Momma, Ma" - That is me. She always says it like that. It is never just "Momma"


• "Bo" - Our dog. Actually, any dog is "Bo".


• "Bubba" - Our cat. Again, most cats are "Bubba".


• "Dis" - This She always points at things or picks them up and hands them to me and asks/tells me, "Dis".


• "Disses" - Kisses She walks up to me, her Daddy, Bo, and says "tisses" and then will open wide for her open mouthed kiss. It is so sweet!


• "Boddle" or "Baba" - Bottle


• "Bye-Bye" - This one is very clear. However, she will never say it to you. She will wait until either we have walked out the door, or you have.


• "Yeah" - She says yeah to almost anything.


• "ZZZZZ" That is Zeke. Our other dog.


• "ball" - This one is really clear too.

These are the words that I am not quite sure about:

• "osh" I think that is her saying Josh.


• "Ooood" I think this is her saying "Shoot". (Her daddy says this all the time.)

Every once in awhile she will pop out with words that sound perfect. Examples:

• One day, Danielle told her to feel something in a book. She looked at her and said, "I did!"


• I asked if she wanted to go take a nap. She replied, "No way!"

These are words she will repeat:

• "Tank oo" - Thank you. Sometimes she will say it on her own too, but usually she repeats it.


• "Ood irl" - Good girl. If you tell her she is a good girl, she will repeat it back to you.

These are some of the words that she understands:

• Eat (She will go right to her highchair.)


• No


• Clap, Clap (She will clap her hands.)


• Book


• Come here


• Outside


• The Wiggles (She loves them!)


• Look


• Sit


• Stop

I love listening to her talk. Her little voice is one of my favorite sounds!
