The Original Because of Love

I know that this is my 3rd post today, but I have to take care of some business. I guess that my friend Kelly tagged me, so I must write 7 things that are "special" about me. (Plus it is raining outside, there is nothing good on TV, and Alyse is with her Grammy and Papa.)

So, here are 7 random things about Stephanie.....

1. Besides normal things like snakes, bugs, heights, etc. I am also scared to death of really odd things -

• I am petrified of squirrels!!!! When I was younger, I was viciously attacked! I was throwing trash in the trashcan and the squirrel jumped onto my head and then ran down my body. It was a tragic and scarred me for life!
• I am also scared of semi trucks. I really think that ever semi truck is going to either tip over on me or pull into my lane and crush me. It makes me very nervous!!!!
• Fire is a big fear of mine. I randomly think that I am going to go home and the house will be burned down. Why, I'm not sure. Even candles, campfires, and other small flames make me nervous.

2. I always want to know what time it is. I even have to have a clock in my bathroom and right beside my bed. However, I rarely wear a watch. I do make sure that I have my cell phone with me, but I use it more to check the time then to answer or make calls.

3. I am addicted to my TV. It is always on. I know that it is bad, and I have been working on having more "quite time" in the house, but I can't help it.

4. I live in my pajamas. The minute I walk in the house, I go to my bedroom and put something comfy on.

5. I am a little bit of a neat freak. I cannot go to bed, leave the house, or have someone over without making sure the whole house is clean. I vacuum and "swiffer" my floor all the time. Dishes are not allowed on my counter or in the sink. I also wipe my counters in the kitchen and in the bathroom numerous times a day. If something is put in the wrong place, I cannot relax until I have put it back where it belongs. Every one of Alyse's toys is put away the minute she moves on to something else. It is an obsession that everyone keeps telling me will go away when Alyse gets older and we have more kids, but I really doubt it.

6. I love flowers. Right now I have beautiful fresh cut roses, hydrangeas, and tulips placed around my house. It is even in our wedding vows that Josh has to get me roses once a month. (Yes, he always does it! What was in his vows? I promised that I would bake him something once a month.)

7. I am not a big phone person. I never feel like I have a good phone conversation. Half of the problem is that my cell phone doesn't have great reception. When I am talking to someone I usually only hear every other word. So, I really have to make up half of the conversation. I also think that I am talking over the people because I can't hear some of what they are saying so there are these awkward pauses on the phone. I hate it! So, if you have ever talked to me on the phone, I am sorry. I promise that I am not that difficult to talk to in person. (Just so you know, the best way to get in touch with me is either text or e-mail.)

7.5 I write really long blogs! I am sorry! I am trying to work on it!
