I am a person of habit. I do the same things and go to the same places all the time. Well, I have decided that I need to put a little more spice in my life. I want to change up somethings. I want to go to more places than Qdoba and Target. I want to explore the world around me a little.
Going away to some place new (the beach) helped to motivate me to do this. There were no chain restaurants or stores in the area. This caused us to be a little more adventurous, and I enjoyed it. So, the last 3 days I have tried to branch out a little.
Here are some new places and web sites that I thought were interesting: (Notice that the list is short, but it has only been 3 days!)
Stores -
- One Sassy Chic - This is a store off of 74 by Waxhaw-Indian Trail Rd. I stopped in the other day because my friends Holly and Ashley had both told me about it. There are some really cute things there. I will return.
- Lowe's - No, not the home improvement store. The grocery store. Josh and I went and got some groceries from there and I was very impressed. The cost was good, and they doubled all my coupons. (Thanks Holly for the suggestion.)
Restaurants-
- Camille's Sidewalk Cafe - We had lunch from here on Sunday. I enjoyed it. Josh was still hungry.
- Salsarita's Cantina - My friend Lori and I ate here today. It was good. Kinda like Qdoba.
Websites-
(I think this will be the easiest way to find new places. Plus, I won't have to spend any extra cash - well, unless I find some cute, must have items.)
- HowManyofMe.com - You type in your name, and it tells you how many people in the United States have the same name as you. I tried it, and they said there were O Stephanie vanAlmen. I guess that I don't count!
- MarieClaire.com- This is the magazine's website. They have a virtual model that you can design to you height, weight, etc. Then you can "try on" clothes from their dressing room. It was kinda fun. Here is my model:
Do you think she looks like me? You can also upload a picture of yourself and try out different hair styles and colors. I haven't done that yet though.
Oh, I also ate salmon for dinner tonight. I usually don't eat anything that came from the water, so this was a big deal for me. I can't say that I really enjoyed it, but I ate it and I'm still alive.
