So it has been a whole week since I have had time to update my blog! I will do my best to update you on my busy life. Here are the highlights.

#1-This weekend my Dad had his big weekend in Raleigh. My parents went down on Friday and met with some of the people from the church there. On Saturday, Danielle and I drove down to join them. We met the staff, who all seemed like very nice people.

Alyse did a great job on the 2 and 1/2 hour drive. She slept until we got to the Chapel Hill exit (about 10 miles away from the hotel). I told Josh that I wasn't surprised when she woke up, because Chapel Hill is an exciting place. (GO HEELS!)

It was also Alyse's first time to stay in a hotel. I think she enjoyed her stay. Here is a picture of her and Aunt Danielle.

On Sunday, we got to listen to Dad preach. It has been about 2 years since I have heard him preach, so I was glad we got to be there. My Dad is the best! (Well, Pastor Steven is the best too. Can you have two best?) Anyway, it looks like Raleigh is the place where my parents are going to end up moving. They will know for sure next week, but we are very hopeful. Now we just have to pray they sell their house, that they will find a house, and that they will have a good move. (I am sure you can read more about all this on my Dad's blog.)

#2 - On Sunday, Josh got to go with Pastor Steven to NewSpring. I was glad to be with my family, but I have to say I was a little jealous. On Sunday night, we sat in bed and shared church stories. Josh's were really good. I wish that I could have been there. He said that Pastor did a great job (of course) and that the church was amazing. Next time, I am going to have to tag along.

#3- Also on Sunday (It was a busy day!), Alyse spent her first night away from her Mommy and Daddy. I was very hesitant, but decided to leave her at the hotel with her Grammy and Papa. We all had a very nice time. I think Mom and Dad enjoyed their time with her, Danielle and I enjoyed our roadtrip back, and Josh and I enjoyed a night alone and SLEEPING IN!!! Now, don't get too mislead by the whole night alone. This is how it was spent. I did laundry! Then when Josh got home, we had our church conversation. Then, when I came to bed (after switching a load of laundry) Josh was watching a movie. What movie....Rocky V. Please read the following conversation that occurred as I entered the room:

Stephanie: "Josh, do we really have to watch Rocky V again?"

Josh: "Yes! You know you love it."

Stephanie: "Yep, I love it. (sarcastically) You know what is sad? I can walk in, see 30 seconds of this movie, and not only know that it is a Rocky movie, but that it is Rocky V. I also know what is going to happen in the very next scene. Tommy is going to show up, and bring that bad guy with him, and everyone is going to be all upset. Then he is going to drive away in his car, with the red head, and Rocky is going to be yelling that he is messing up everything."

Josh: "That is not sad! It just means that I have you trained."

And, Scene.

So you see, it was not a romantic evening for two. It was a fun filled night of watching Rocky V with Rocky (the dog) between us.

#4- So we all have things that we don't like. Maybe for you it is snakes, heights, flying, or other random things. For me, it is the dentist! (Well, I don't like those other things either, but the dentist is my big thing.) I hate going to the dentist. To be honest, I had not gone since Josh and I have been married (4 years). Well, Friday I went to the dentist. Let's just say that I did not enjoy myself. After they checked me out, the Dr. told me that I would have to come back a number of times because of a number of different things. So, I went home, cried, twice (once on the phone with Josh, and another time to my mom), and started to prepare myself for the horrible hours I will spend in a dentist office. Today, I went for my first big appointment. (I didn't cry today.) I survived, but I still am sitting here with a numb mouth. I just keep reminding myself that when it is all done, I will be happy, but I still don't like it!

#5- Today Alyse had another first. It was her first time to eat rice cereal. She wasn't so sure about it. I don't know how much she actually ate. There was more all over her face than in her mouth. She made a mess, but she was so cute!

Well, I hope you enjoyed my highlights. I'll try to keep my blog more up to date.
