I feel like I haven't really blogged about my day to day life in awhile, so here are a few random clips from my life:

  • This week I have been in Raleigh at my mom and dad's house. We have been baking, shopping, and wrapping. It has been great to get stuff done, and Alyse always enjoys herself at Grammy and Papa's. (And I get to sleep in!) Alyse loved baking. She did a lot of taste testing and investigating.

  • Wednesday Alyse went to the doctor's office for her 9 month appointment. She is healthy (finally) and growing. Well, she is getting longer, but not heavier. She is 15.1 lbs. (5th percentile) and 28 inches long (60th percentile). Even though she is such a tiny thing, I can't believe how big she is now. She is saying "Mama", "Dada", "Bo", "Yes", "Hey", "Ta-da", and "Ho, Ho, Ho". She loves to give kisses and snuggle up. She has also started to point at you and wave. It is so precious to see her wave and smile at you with those two little teeth.

  • My husband has had a good time at work while I've been away. He called me last night and said, "I've got 6 prostitutes in two days! I've also got a crack pipe and some marijuana!" Isn't that wonderful?!

  • Alyse has decided in the last few days that she likes the Christmas tree. At first I was having more problems with the dogs and cat messing up the tree, but she has started to like to check out the ornaments and lights. Well, yesterday I bent down beside her and said, "No ma'am" and then moved her hand away. She smiled at me and then leaned over and pointed to the tree. I said, "That is a pretty tree. Just look, don't touch." She then reached over and tried to touch the ornament again so I said, "No, Alyse, no, no". She then started laughing and thought this was a great game so we had to get up and move away from the tree. I'm hoping that she just doesn't quite get the concept of "No"!

  • This is so funny to me - you have to watch this clip and then compare it to this picture:

  • As of today, I am completly done with my Christmas shopping! Yay! I wish you luck with your shopping. You better hurry. There is only 10 shopping days left!
