You haven't heard from me in awhile. That is because I really haven't had a lot of good things to report. I had one of those weeks that made me exhausted both emotionally and physically. There were little things that happened and big things that happened. Here is a small glimpse at some of the events of the week:

  • stubbed my toe as I tripped over the dog in the middle of the night
  • burned some muffins
  • forgot something at the store (and by this I mean that one time I forgot to pick up something that I needed, and then at another store on the same day, I paid for something and then forgot it at the checkout and didn't realize it till about 9pm after the store was closed.)
  • lost my debit card (don't worry, I found it the next day)
  • Getting lost (you know how I hate driving where I don't know where I am going)
  • Almost ran out of gas
  • forgot to charge my cell phone on a day that I really NEED to use it
  • the dog run away 2 days in a row
  • the dog got sick and pooped in the house numerous times
  • Had to save the dog who was being chased around the backyard by the hoodlum neighbor kids with sticks
  • Stayed up with a crying baby (Josh and I thought she was teething because nothing made her stop until Josh went out at midnight to buy Baby Orijel, but that was almost a week ago and there is no tooth yet.)
  • Tried to sleep in the same bed with a baby, a husband, 2 dogs, and a cat (The whole family bed thing is so not me!)
  • Planned a party and then only had 2 people I invited show up
  • Cut myself while making fresh squeezed lemonade
  • Was stuck in traffic on 77 the day there were 4 accidents (I knew I was going to be there awhile when the people around me started to turn off their cars and then started getting out and walking around.)
  • Was stuck in traffic with a screaming baby in the back seat
  • Was stuck in traffic having to go to the bathroom really bad
  • Went to the airport and circling over and over
  • Was yelled at by 3 security guards when I tried to pull over to the curb to wait for my friend
  • Had to pay to park at the airport because my friend's luggage was lost
  • Had an unexpected guest stay at my house for 3 days because my sister was sick (Which really worked out for the best and was fun)
  • Felt fat and disappointed in myself because I didn't stick to my diet that I was doing so good on.
  • Stressed because of money issues
  • PMSing (Which I not use to doing again after a nice baby break)

Ok, I am now going to stop. Believe it or not, there are many things that I could add to this list, but I am going to put them all in my past and move on to happier things. And maybe move to Australia.

(If you didn't get the title and Australia part, then you haven't read this book!)

That is all for now. Tomorrow will be another day. (Hopefully with a happier post!)

i just wanted to say that when i met you for the first time last week at the park playgroup - i had not a clue what a bad week you were in the midst of having. (if i would have known i would have tried to encourage you!) all that to say, you definitely didn't appear to have the weight of the world on your shoulders and were a shining example of Christ's love when i met you! so glad you are having a much better week!
