Today I had lunch with my friend Heather. She just had a little baby boy. He is about 6 weeks old, and so cute! It was so nice to be able to get out and have a "Mommy Date". We just sat at Panera and talked for over two hours. I think it was good for both of us to just get out of the house and talk about babies, church, and life in general.

One of the things we talked about is the number of babies who were just born in our church. We have had a BABY BOOM! Alyse is pretty much in the middle of all these babies born within months of each other. (She is one of the few girls.) Each night, I pray for her future friends, boyfriends, and someday husband. I pray that she will make wise choices when choosing her relationships. When I think of all the families of the newborns (the Bishops, the Harpers, the Corbetts, the Hubatkas, the Ravens, etc.) and the babies on the way (Tammy's, Tonia's, Holly's, etc.) I know that she will have plenty of good friends to choose from. So, here is my prayer for tonight.

Lord, thank you so much for good friends. Thank you that you have blessed me with such wonderful people in my life. They are such a blessing. I pray that you would continue to send good friends into my life.
I also pray that you would be with Alyse's future friends. I pray for Lauren Ford! Be with her, Lord. I pray for Jeremiah B., Jeremiah H., Austin (and Ella), Lucy Love (and Riley, Lilly, and Aubrey), all the Raven girls, Alex and Baby Peters, Cooper and Baby Lyons, Elijah and Baby Furtick, and all the other children who will be in Alyse's life. I pray for Mac, Jacob, Emma Grace, and Sarah Mei. I pray for Alyse's future siblings and cousins. Lord, bless all of these children. I know that you love them all. Keep them all safe and healthy.
Help them all grow up to love you Lord.
I pray that you would help us, as their parents. Give us wisdom, patience, and grace. Help us to raise them in your will. Thank you for giving them to us.
But most of all, Lord, I thank you for being our best friend.
I love you!
Amen.

Just so you know, Heather is my friend and you can borrow her as long as you talk nicely about me when you're with her. Kidding! Love you!

Thank you for praying for Alyse's future cousins. I'm sure my husband will be very excited to have your encouragement...but seriously, my children will be so happy to have such a special aunt, uncle and cousin in their lives.
