I was driving around the other day and decided that I was going to switch out some of my CDs to put a little variety in my life. I found a CD in my car that I have had for about 3 years now. It has been awhile since I listened to it and knew that it would make me smile, so I put it in. While the first few songs were playing I sang along with a big smile on my face. As the songs kept coming, I remembered how much I liked the CD. As I sang along to this song, I started to get a little emotional.

Like Him
May His presence guide every step
May His praises fill every breath
May His thoughts and my actions
be one and the same
To the glory of His name
May His righteousness be my life
May His glory be my delight
May His heart and my passions be one and the same
To the glory of His name
Oh to live like Him
To forgive like Him
To be strong in Him
To belong to Him
I want to be like Him, I want to be like Him
Like Him - in His death and resurrection
Like Him - the Holy One
Like Him - an image and reflection
Of the One who is perfection
God's own Son
Oh I want to live like Him

These words really meant a lot to me. They are the perfect picture of what I want in my life. I really want people to see Christ in me. I want others, and God, to know that I am living my life for Him. I think that song was a great reminder for me.

****Update - Someone knew the answer about the writer of the song "Like Him". If you said - Everlasting CD, Written by Steven Furtick
then you were right ****
