I couldn't decided what to blog about today, so I thought I would put a little collection of stuff together for you ...

- Fresh Look For Fall
When I went outside yesterday afternoon I was so excited to feel that it was starting to feel like fall was in the air. I wanted to rush back inside, start a pot of chili, and put on a big sweater. Instead, I sat down at my (newly refurbished and like new) computer and made my blog look "fally". I hope you enjoy!

I also did some "falling" around the house today. You know me! I love to decorate! And I LOVE fall!

- The Sun Stood Still
Some of you may remember that awhile ago I posted about my friends Ferris and Wade having twins in an emergency c-section. Well, yesterday was a day that we have all been praying for. After almost 100 days after they were born, they are both now home!

- Gas Shortage
For those of you who don't live in the Charlotte area, we are having a major shortage of gasoline! It is craziness around here. There are lines that go on for hours of people looking to fill up their cars. Most of the gas stations in our area are completely out. I talked to a friend of mine 3 times on the phone yesterday checking on her because I knew that she was on the search to fill up. Josh thought that he was going to run out last night, but lets just say that he used the influence of a uniform and found a station with gas. (He will probably get mad at me for telling you that, but know that he doesn't abuse "The power of the badge" very often!) I am going to need some gas sometime very soon myself. I guess I am going to send Josh to fill up my car.

(That sign is at the Costco right down the road in Matthews.)

- New Hiding Place

As you may remember, Alyse likes to hide in different places. This is still her favorite hiding spot, but today my friend Joy stopped by. After visiting for awhile in my garage (yes, she is one of the few people who I would just hang out in my garage with), we opened the door to check on Alyse. I had left her on my bed watching The Backyardigans and thought that she was going to fall asleep because it was right at her nap time. Well, she wasn't on my bed anymore. Now she was sitting in Bo's bed - meaning his dog crate. I should have taken a picture, but well, I didn't. Here is a picture of Bo in his crate. It is almost as cute as Alyse....

(This was taken on Sunday when he was hiding from the ironing board. Yes, our Rottweiler is scared to death of the ironing board. When I pull it out, he goes running!)

- Time Out

Lately we have started to put Alyse on time out if she disobeys. She is suppose to sit in a chair for 1 minute. It has only had to happen twice, so she is still new at this. Well, yesterday she turned off my computer while I was typing an email so I took her to the chair for time out.

I told her, "No, No! You do not touch Mommy's computer. Say, 'Yes, Mommy'."

She just stared at me.....

I then said, "You need to obey Mommy. Now you need to sit on time out for one minute."

Still no answer. (No, I wasn't really expecting much.)

For the next minute she proceeded to have a long conversation of "Lalala, Bo, madala, Papa, ladala, Josh, Dadadadadada, Gahme (that is Grammy), lalala, Puuuppy......"

For the next minute I proceeded to try really hard not laugh and just stick with this whole time out thing.

Don't think she gets it!

- Consignment Sale

Last weekend I spent some time and went through little Miss Alyse Nicole's clothes. At the school/church that I use to work at they are having a large consignment sale tomorrow morning. So, I went to work and came up with about 90 things to try and sell to make some $.

Tonight, the people who were consigning clothes were let in to do some early shopping. I walked away with a number of cute little outfits. Most of them were Gap, Ralph Lauren, and Gymboree. (Yes, I am a "label snob" when it comes to consignment sales.) I also ended up getting Alyse her Halloween outfit (well, a second one...) and a cute little vanity for her to play dress up at. On the back is a little section to hang a few outfits. It looks pretty cute in her room, don't ya think?

- Dress Up
Speaking of dress up, I will leave you with a few cute picture of a little fairy princess.
(I think she is precious. She wore those wings most of the day today. Yes, even when she was in the dog crate and at Qdoba when we had lunch with Daddy.)
