Today is my wonderful husband's 27th birthday.
I want to tell everyone some of the reasons why I love him so much:
1. He loves me. I know that I can be difficult to love sometimes, but Josh loves me for who I am. He loves me at my best, and loves me at my worst. He makes me feel treasured and respected. He makes me feel beautiful. He makes me feel loved! He is a wonderful husband.
2. He loves God! However, Josh not only loves God, but he lives like he loves God. He is a great example of a godly man. As long as I have known Josh (12 years), he has always had a way of "being different". In saying that I mean that with his sports background, his job, and in all areas of life, it is obvious that he doesn't live by anyone's standards but Gods. He doesn't do what everyone else is doing. He does what he believes God would have him to do. He also leads our family that way. I respect that so much!
3. He works so hard to take care of Alyse and I. Josh is one of the hardest workers that I know. I know that when he is off working long hours he is doing it for our little family. He isn't doing it for the money. (Well, it kinda is for the money, but it is because we need it!) He is doing it to provide a home, food, clothes, and everything thing that Alyse and I need (and sometime want). He (and God) have given me a WONDERFUL life that I could never complain about
4. He is the best Daddy. (Alyse loves her Daddy!) If you have ever watched Alyse and Josh together, you know that they have a special bond. She is a true "Daddy's Girl". When we found out that we were having a girl, people asked if Josh was happy with that. Yes, he wanted a girl. (However, he has decided the next one will be boy.) He loves to play with her. He loves to cuddle her. He loves to just hang out with her, and she loves all those things too.
5. He is a man of great integrity. He is one of the most honest and good people that I have ever met. Of course he isn't perfect, but he lives his life to honor God, to honor me, and to honor the people in his life that he loves and respects.
6. He makes me laugh! Josh cracks me up. Sometimes it is intentional and sometimes I just like to laugh at him. :) When people first met him, they might think that he is quite and serious. Where, in reality, he is so funny! He also can tell a good story. You just have to get him going.
7. He is pretty good looking! I think I married a hottie! Just look at him:

8. He is my best friend! He knows me better than anyone else. He supports me better than anyone else. If something happens, Josh is the first person that I talk to about it. If I am upset about something, Josh knows what to say to make me feel better. If I had a choice of anyone that I wanted to hang out with, I would say Josh. We don't have to do anything special, I just like to spend time with him.
9. He does everything to the best of his ability and doesn't give up. Some of you may not know that Josh may seem like he has everything together all the time, but he has had to work hard to get all those things together. Things haven't always come easy for him, but Josh isn't one to give up when things aren't going the way that he thinks they should. He always finds some way of making things work, and usually he is picking me up and carrying me with him!
10. He takes his daughter to see The Wiggles (which she LOVED!) on his birthday and never complains about it! (Told you he was the best Daddy!)
Here are some pictures:

Oh, also, since we are still on our Daniel Fast, Josh decided that he was going to not cheat. Instead of a yummy birthday dinner, cake, and ice cream (which he is really craving) he decided to postpone his birthday celebration untill after September 7th. So, tonight he celebrated with his own little watermelon.

I guess it wasn't his best birthday ever, but he did get sang to by a group of people at church and lots of cards from his family and friends. He also is going to get a new cell phone, which is LONG over due. Hopefully that will make up for all my horrible planning this year!
I love you, Josh! Happy Birthday!
**Update from 8/26
Josh and I did end up being able to celebrate his birthday. I had planned a trip to Carowinds, but like I said before, it was closed. I think that was a good thing though because it ended up raining all day. Instead we had a private viewing of The Dark Knight. We were the only two people in the theater. It was nice to have it all to ourselves! He got his new phone! Which he really needed and wanted. His old one was over 4 years old and really beat up. I also found his present at another store. It was a little late, but that is ok. We have also decided that we are going to have a belated birthday dinner at Ruth's Chris too.
