Yesterday, Alyse and I had a little "Girls Day".
While most days it is just the two of us girls, I decided that we could do some of the little things that I started planning on doing with my daughter when I first found out Josh and I were having a girl.
(Well, besides buying cute clothes and dressing her up in all the hair bows and dresses, which I have been doing for almost 18 months now.)
We started the day with a little dress up. (See previous post.)
Then we played in the kitchen and pretended that we were making something yummy to eat. After we pretended a little, I let her help make some dinner. At the end of our "Cooking Time" we had a little indoor picnic.
After dinner was "Spa Time". I put a mask on both of our faces (just a little for her cause I was afraid of her getting it all over or eating it). To wash it off, she enjoyed a nice warm bath.
Then it was time for pedicures for both of us.
Now, it was time to snuggle up in my bed for a "Girl Movie" (Cinderella). I thought that she would fall asleep, but she was so happy to cuddle and watch every single second.
After it was over, we had a little "Girl Talk" and I let her fall asleep in bed with me for a short sleepover.
It was a great "Girl Day". I can't wait for more of them! I have lots of things planned like doing make-up and hair, having tea parties, being princesses ............. The list goes on and on.
It is great having a girl!
