On Fridays, Josh usually comes to meet Alyse and I for lunch. Today, though, we drove uptown to meet him. We decided that it would be fun to walk around Taste of Charlotte, buy some tokens, and eat things that we don't usually eat.
It was very hot, but when you are walking around with a handsome man in uniform, you get free drinks! Josh got to eat a philly cheesecake and some kind of sausage thing. I decided that I would get a queso funrido, which I thought was some kind of burrito thing...um, it was just nachos. So, I tried again and got a turkey burger slider. That was much better! To finish it off, the 3 of us shared some dippin' dots. (This was Josh's first time eating them. I was shocked by that!)
I also got some roasted pecans to have at home, but someone I know decided to eat about half of the bag before we could get back to the car.
After walking around for awhile and having some entertainment from some street performers who danced and then did tricks like jumping over 6 people, it was time for Josh to go to work and Alyse and I to head home to take a nap.
Better go, nap time is almost over!
