Today is just a typical day for us. Unfortunately Josh has to work, so there will not be any romantic date or anything like that.
Really, I don't think that Josh and I have ever had all that spectacular of a Valentine's Day. He isn't necessarily the most romantic guy. (Sorry, Baby!) He has had many moments that have been romantic, but most of them are on anniversaries or even random days. (Which, really I would prefer.)
The only Valentine's Day traditions that we have are that I always get roses and a card (or cards). Josh always gets a card and I bake him something. (Usually red velvet cake in the shape of a heart.)
So far today, I have had a few cards that I have found around the house (one on my pillow this morning, and one in my car). I also have received my roses, and Alyse and I went to go meet Josh for lunch. Josh will get his present, card, and cake when he gets home tonight.
Alyse has had a good 1st Valentine's. She got some cards and then Josh and I gave her some Disney Princess books. Here are a few of my favorite pictures from today:
