This morning was very exciting for me! Josh called me and asked if I had checked my comments on my last blog. I hadn't. He told me that I had to go and get on the computer because I was going to be excited. He was so right!

I had a comment from Yankee Pete from the Ace and TJ show! I couldn't believe it. Josh says that they probably have some kind of scanner system that showed that I mentioned them on my blog. I guess that is probably true. (I don't know. I'm just trusting him on that one.)

Anyway, back to Yankee Pete....

I actually met Yankee Pete one time. I met him at the 1st Elevation Egg Drop. I am sure that he remembers! (Just Kidding) I have also tried to use my Tonia connection to meet Ace and TJ, but it has never happened. Oh, well. (She says that they are really nice.)

I feel like I kinda know all of them anyway. I use to listen every morning when I was teaching. Sometimes, I wouldn't go in right away because I was enjoying it so much. I would sit in the parking lot at school to listen until the next commercial break. I really have missed them since I'm not doing the whole morning commute thing.

Josh loves them too. He gets to listen to the show about 4 days a week when he is on his way to an overtime job or court. There are many times that he comes home and tells me about things that happened on the show.

We both think they are all so funny!

I also love how they are so kind and generous. There have been many times that I have cried listening to the show. I probably cried the hardest listening the morning of Sean's funeral. I was sitting in the parking lot at Calvary crying as I listened to them discussing their plans to build two parks as a memorial to Sean and Jeff and hearing all the people who called in. It was very moving.

I know that I can still listen to the show even if I'm not in my car, but for some reason I don't really think about that. Maybe I should put a radio in the kitchen or something so that I can listen in the morning. OR, even better idea, I can add an IPod to my Christmas list and then I can download the shows off the website. (I can also download Pastor Steven's messages and The Sound CD.)

*Note to Yankee Pete or anyone else from the show who may read this - Don't worry about being #3.5 on my driving list because you guys are my #1 favorite radio show and it's much better to be #1 than #4!

Wow! A whole entry dedicated to the show. That's awesome! We really appreciate the kind words, especially about the parks for Officers Clark & Shelton. The park to memorialize Jeff is now open in Locust (pix and videos on our website) and we're still working on the next park in Lincoln County!

The Elevation Egg Drop was a great time, I'm sorry I didn't make it for the one in '07. The preacher and staff of Elevation Church were some of the most down-to-earth classy people that I have worked with!

And as for finding your blog, we are signed up with Google Alerts...and it sends an e-mail when it finds "Ace & TJ" on the internet. Just keeping up with all of the negative postings that people might put up about the show...it can be quite entertaining!

However, it's refreshing to hear the kind words as well! We appreciate it. I would STRONGLY suggest putting a kitchen radio or iPod on your list for Santa! haha.

I just tried it on my blog, Steph. I'll see if it works and I get a response from him, too!
