Yesterday we started a new tradition. We took our first family trip to the Pumpkin Patch!

Josh and I had been talking about going to one for awhile now. We talked about all our memories of hay mazes and tunnels, hay rides, and tons of pumpkins to search through to find the best one. We both really wanted Alyse to have the opportunity to go to a real pumpkin patch, but didn't think that there were any good ones around. The only ones we saw were a bunch of pumpkins sitting around in front of Harris Teeter or some thing like that.

After doing some research (AKA-reading Holly's blog) and discussing with Tonia, we found a place to go. Actually we found 3 places to chose from, but Riverbend in Midland, was the pumpkin patch that we chose.

We had a fantastic time. The weather was perfect and the place wasn't too full. We got there just in time to take the last wagon ride of the day. We loaded up and went to find us our pumpkin. Josh and Alyse found a good one that was still attached to the vine. After we picked it and took some pictures, we headed back to the farm. We got to see some of the animals, took some more pictures, and enjoyed a little family bonding.

Here are some of the pictures:

This is Alyse and I with our new sling by Gina's Sew Trendi. We both really like it!

Found one!

Pickin' our pumkin!

Her pumpkin is almost as big as her.

This may be a tradition picture.

This pumpkin weighed over 300 lbs.

We had a great time!
