Yesterday was Josh's first Father's Day! It was a good day. My Mom and Dad are staying with us right now, so Alyse got to spend the day with both her Daddy and Papa.

In honor of both the men in my life, I thought that I would take a second to put the spotlight on them for a second.
First of all, I LOVE MY HUSBAND! He is so wonderful. I am so blessed to have him. I could have never imagined 10 years ago that our life could be so wonderful. Josh is so loving and always takes care of me. Josh works so hard so that I can have everything that I have always dreamed of (and more). I really do not deserve him. But the thing that I love most about him, is that he loves me no matter what. I always know that he will be right there beside me to hold my hand. This is from the card that I gave him. It says perfectly how I feel: "When I first said 'I love you' I thought I understood the full meaning of those words, but when I watch you as a dad- playing and laughing, giving a big hug, or just being there- I realize that when I first said 'I love you' I had just begun to understand all my heart could hold for you. I love you so much, and I thank God for making you mine, and then for making you ours."

Next is my Dad. I love my Daddy. Growing up, I was always a Daddy's Girl, and I guess I still am. My dad has always done whatever he could for me. He is so giving! I could never say thank you enough. Right now he is going through a kinda hard time, so I want to remind him that I love you, I am praying for you, and I will be here for you, just like you have always been there for me. "It's your heart for God that guides your steps and leaves a path of wisdom to follow."

Anyways, back to our Father's Day Sunday. It was basically a normal BUSY Sunday for us. We got to go to church, and had a great service (like always!). Then we came home and had a steak dinner. After our dinner, we rushed off to a pool party with our small group. It was Alyse's first time at the pool. She looked so cute in her little bikini. All in all, it was a great day that we spent with great people!
Happy Father's Day!

Awww...Stephanie, you're little girl is such a cutie! I miss you guys, I was just thinking it's probably been 7 or 8 years since I've seen you!! Great blog by the way! Isn't it awesome seeing the man you have loved for so long become a father and flourish in that role? I know it still amazes me how much more I love Dustin since we've had kids!!! Take care!!!
